De Leon Family Visited

On October 20th, Tuesday evening, before starting the Rosary recitation, Pietro Albano shared an article he read entitled “How to Meditate on the Holy Rosary”. He called participants’ attention that most of the time our devotion is focused more on vocal prayers without paying attention to meditating the mysteries of the Rosary. The article’s writer offered 5 main elements of meditation: considerations, affections, acts of penance, petitions, and resolution. Copies of this article were distributed to all attendees.

Afterwards, Ronald Abrera led in reflecting the Sorrowful Mysteries. The Act of Consecration and the Prayer to St Joseph – prayers that have been part of this devotion – were also said as well as intercessory prayers for those in need. The Lord’s Prayer was said with everyone holding each other’s hands. Ronald finally read the Farewell Prayer. Participants later had a fraternal dinner.

From Arnside Road, people walked to the De Leon Residence on Davies Way where the image was welcomed by Archie and Maan De Leon and their 3 children. Maan led the Welcome Prayer. This was the sixth house visited by the image since the devotion was launched early this month.
