Monday evening, 12th October, people gathered at the Amamios’ house to reflect on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. Previous to that, Pietro Albano highlighted the 3 feast days of Mary: Our Lady of La Naval de Manila (11th October), Our Lady of the Pillar (12th October), and Our Lady of Fatima (13th October). He mentioned the differences between these various titles of the Blessed Mother as well as the common denominator: Mary is always here to strengthen us especially during trying times. He cited the experience of the late Ft Patrick Peyton, founder of the Family Rosary Crusade, who was about to die because of tuberculosis but was saved thanks to Mary’s intercession.
Jude Amamio led the prayers. Afterwards, merienda cena was offered to participants. Shortly, the image was transferred to the Briones residence where it was warmly received by Joel and Digna Briones. Digna said the Welcome Prayer.
Members were treated to another snack as the Brioneses were observing the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, their patroness in Zamboanga.
