Rosary Devotion in Nottingham Launched

A number of Filipino families in the Bestwood and Daybrook areas in Nottingham have come together to bring the image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to their homes where they pray the Rosary on certain evenings this October, the Month of the Holy Rosary.

This project aims at uniting families as well as the Pinoy neighborhood in praying together this popular devotion. It also intends to rekindle that love for Mary and her Rosary which was inculcated in Pinoys way back home.

October 1st witnessed its launching at the Rapada and Lagman residence. Pietro Albano, who is coordinating this activity, handed over the image of Mary to the Rapada and Lagman families. He also gave an Inspirational Message which included a brief explanation of the project and the Luminous Mysteries which will be reflected upon that day being a Thursday. The late Pope John Paul II added these mysteries in 2002. This was followed by the recitation of the Rosary. A simple salu-salo was later held as a thanksgiving; it was also Mrs Precilla 'Ate Precy' Lagman's birthday!
