The Filipino Rosary Crusade (FRC)-Nottingham North celebrated its First Anniversary last 1st October 2010. A Thanksgiving Mass was offered at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church presided by Fr Paul Newman, Parish Priest. The image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which will be brought from house to house this month, was placed at the Lady Chapel adorned with flowers.
Right after Mass, the members proceeded to the Lagman and Rapada Residence where the enthronement of the image and the Rosary recitation were done. During the Reflection, members shared how they express their gratitude to God. Juliet Talanay considers the group’s rosary crusade as a thanksgiving to the Lord. Pietro Albano, FRC Coordinator, encouraged everyone to be thankful like Mary.
Members were later treated to a sumptuous dinner courtesy of Precy Lagman, whose birthday falls on the same date. The FRC anniversary cake’s candle was jointly blown by Precy and Meng Sulit (another birthday celebrant) before the cake was cut and shared by everyone.
