To celebrate the 18th foundation anniversary of Tanghalang Anluwage, Inc. (TA) last October 2009, Vladimir Reyes, TA President decided to focus the celebration to help the victims of typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng that struck the country last October, which at the same time falls with the anniversary date.
Reyes made an appeal in anluwage.com to friends and readers for donations for the said cause to help those affected “especially elementary school children who have no access to school supplies.”
The said project is in cooperation with GMA Kapuso Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit organization that seeks to provide assistance to our less fortunate brothers and sisters anywhere in the country.
Total collected money amounted to Php12, 000.00 with donations coming from the UK , USA , and the Philippines. Collections were made from October 19 until November 19, 2009. It was then turned over to the said foundation through its representative, Mr. Manuel de la Fuente.
